It's been 116 years since Annie Furnass first opened The Toffee Shop at 33 King Street in Penrith.
In 1956, we relocated to Brunswick Road in Penrith where we’ve enjoyed making fudge and toffee for our community and far beyond.
We are now delighted to announce that, in 2026, The Toffee Shop will be moving back to King Street, the street, where it all began.

Our current Brunswick Road shop holds so many wonderful memories - for us, and for our customers.
However, as the business has grown and we’ve expanded online, it’s become very tight for space, with multiple floors, steps and even a garden path out to the kitchen to navigate!
Locals often share their fond memories of trays of freshly poured fudge and toffee setting in the back at the original King Street shop, the rich smell drifting all the way to the door. We want to bring that experience back. We want more space for our customers to linger, whilst enjoying the delicious tasters we offer.
Our new property has room for everything we’ve dreamed of.
This is a big step forward - back to the street where it all began.
It delights us that we’ll be in the centre of town on the very same street that the original Toffee Shop came into being. I’m so excited about the potential to expand our offering to behind-the-scenes tours.
We take great pride in seeing our fudge and toffee being handmade using a century-old secret recipe, and our new site will finally give our visitors the opportunity to enjoy the full Toffee Shop experience.
And we will be excited to welcome you into our new home as soon as we are refurbished and ready to trade, which we hope to be later this year. We'll keep you updated!
